Hiking Tips

The Pacific Northwest mountains and forests offer the chance to get away from the hurried concerns of modern life, enjoy countless outdoor activities, and experience nature's raw beauty.

There are many guidebooks and on-line resources, but few are worthy of having on the coffee table.  At Bigfoot Press, we are dedicated to bringing the best hiking experiences to life through beautiful pictures, insider tips, and entertaining content.

Our Insider Guidebooks  are part picture book, part hiking guide and part seek-and-find.  The pictures showcase the natural beauty of some of Washington's best hikes.  The hiking guide provides insider tips and recommendations, and in the spirit of "Where's Waldo", the book is also a seek-and-find guide.

To bring the guidebooks to life, we've enlisted a true insider - Bigfoot - who provides tips, local insights, and reminds you to be on the lookout for the creatures you might otherwise miss.

Bigfoots Insider Series Crop.png

Our guide for the Insider series is Tolmie, a preteen bigfoot living in the Mount Rainier area.  Tolmie occasionally runs into problems with his parents and hikers, but he is a wealth of information, and unlike other bigfoots, he is very friendly.

Normally, bigfoots are shy and hard to see - some might say impossible to see.  Rarely are they out in the open.  Tolmie, however, has arranged for his friends to hide in some of the pictures.  See if you can find them all!

The Insider's guide is available as a digital download, or in two coffee table sizes - 14x11 and 9x6.
